The Chair welcomed Councillors and Officers to the inaugural meeting of Scrutiny Panel 3 – Dementia Friendly Town.

The Chair to note any apologies for absence.

There were none.

The Chair to elect a Deputy Chair.

It was proposed and seconded that Councillor Sally Beardsworth is elected Deputy Chair of Scrutiny Panel 3 – Dementia Friendly Town.

It was AGREED:

That Councillor Sally Beardsworth is the Deputy Chair of Scrutiny Panel 3 – Dementia Friendly Town.

Members to state any interests.  Declarations will be for the life of this Scrutiny Review.

The Chair to note public address requests.

The public can speak on any agenda item for a maximum of three minutes per speaker per item.  You are not required to register your intention to speak in advance but should arrive at the meeting a few minutes early, complete a Public Address Protocol and notify the Scrutiny Officer of your intention to speak.

The Scrutiny Panel to scope the review.

The Scrutiny Panel considered the draft scope of the Review that was proposed by the Chair of the Scrutiny Panel.  Councillors made further suggestions and updates.

AGREED:      That the scope of Scrutiny Panel 3 – Dementia Friendly Town is agreed and presented to the Overview and Scrutiny Committee at its meeting on 26 June 2017 for approval.
