Minutes:

As the meeting of the Sub-Committee held previously on the afternoon of 17 April 2013 had finished early, and the applicants and representor for these premises had indicated that they would not be attending this meeting following the applicant’s request for an adjournment, the Council’s Solicitor asked if the Sub-Committee wished to begin this meeting at 2pm instead of waiting until 2.30pm.  The Sub-Committee members agreed that the meeting should commence at 2pm.

The Senior Licensing Officer outlined the purpose of the hearing, which was for a variation to a premises licence to make alterations of style to the ground floor, change the first floor to develop an external roof terrace and to amend Condition B(2) of Annex 1 to read “toughened glassware shall be used where available.”

An objection had been received from Paul Mallard (NBC Senior Environmental Health Officer) regarding the proposal to create a roof terrace on the grounds of public nuisance due to the close proximity of The Pinnacle, Woolmonger Street.

The Senior Licensing Officer stated that negotiations between the applicant and representor were on-going and that the applicant had requested an adjournment to allow him to provide a noise report in response to the objection.

The Senior Licensing Officer suggested that the meeting be adjourned until Thursday 16 May 2013.

The Determination

That the Sub-Committee meeting be adjourned until 16th May 2013 to allow the applicant to provide a noise report in response to the representation in respect of the licensing application.
