Tree Preservation Order No. 236 Quinton Road, Wootton, Northampton, NN4 6LN PDF 3 MB (Copy herewith) Additional documents:
Minutes: The Interim Arboricultural Officer elaborated on a report that sought confirmation of a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) No 236. It was explained that following the submission of notification to fell a cypress tree in the rear garden of 2 High Street, Wootton, a site visit was carried out on 13th February and a subsequent telephone call whereby the property owner explained his reasoning for wanting the tree felled. A letter dated 31st March and received on 5th April from the owner of 2 High Street Wootton reiterated concerns voiced over the telephone, chiefly that of public safety should the tree fall, however the Interim Arboricultural Officer noted that evidence to support a claim that the public were at risk was lacking.
Members considered that the cypress and lime trees formed an important feature on the fringe of the conservation area and agreed that they contributed to the overall amenity of the area.
RESOLVED:
That Tree Preservation Order 236 be confirmed. |
