Apologies for absence were received from Councillors Ansell, Haque and T Eales.

Minutes:

The minutes of the previous meeting held on 20th June 2017 were then agreed and signed by the Chair with the following amendment:

 

That Councillor Haque declared a personal non-pecuniary interest by virtue of holding a valid Private Hire/Hackney driver’s licence, although he had not been employed as such for over 10 years.

Exclusion of Public and Press

The Chair to Move:

“that the public and press be excluded from the remainder of the meeting on the grounds that there is likely to be disclosure to them of such categories of exempt information as defined by section 100(1) of the Local Government Act 1972 as listed against such items of business by reference to the appropriate paragraph of Schedule 12a to such act.”

Minutes:

The Chair moved that the Public and Press be excluded from the remainder of the meeting on the grounds that there was likely to be disclosure to them of such categories of exempt information as defined by Section 100(1) of the Local Government Act 1972 as listed against such items of business by reference to the appropriate paragraph of Schedule 12A to such Act.

 

The Motion was Carried.

New Driver Application

Minutes:

The Licensing Enforcement Officer outlined the circumstances as set out in the report.

 

The Committee heard the representations made and reached a decision with regards to any further action to be taken.

 

RESOLVED:

 

The Committee decided that the applicant was, on a balance of probability, a fit and proper person to hold a Private Hire Driver’s Licence.

The Committee heard the representations made and reached a decision with regards to any further action to be taken.

 

RESOLVED:
